Hey guys. Just booked up at the Chill Factor in Manchester for a taster lesson at the weekend before im off skiing at the end of next month.
Im guessing it will just teach us some of the basics for when i do have the ski lessons when im away.
Just a quick question. Am i best taking any of my ski clothes? maybe just my trousers and coat?
Thanks guys

Go with clothes you'd ski in, ie sallos, jacket, hat and gloves, base layer and maybe even a thermal as it gets cold in there.
Have a good play with your boots and skis, get used to the feel of them, ask instructors how to adjust them and what they should feel like, and do plenty of lying/sitting down and trying to get up, as you're going to get used to that a lot!!!!
Have fun, you're enthusiasm is infectious.

If I was you I would use some old gloves coz the nursery slopes often use a rope type lift system which will rip your new gloves to shreds!!!

Hi Sm4sh,
When I skied there I wore my normal ski clothes minus my thermals, neckwarmer, and goggles, but I suppose it depends how insulated your ski trousers and jacket are. I felt about right (there's no wind of course, which makes a big difference).
Best of luck. I hope you have a great time :D
