St. Johann v Westendorf

Hi, first time skiers with 2 young children. Think kids mightn't be up to 4 hours skiing a day, so wondering which might offer other things to do in the afternoons? Also evening time, restaurants, etc.

Anyone stayed at Angerer Self Catering apts? They ok?

Hi, where are you staying St Johann or Westendorf? I have been to St Johann a couple of times, providing you get good ski coverage it's a great place to learn. The tree runs are brilliant. The town is nice, quite big considering its not a major resort. Apart from skiing there is a Swimming Pool, Sleigh Rides, Tobogganing, Museum. There are loads of good restaurants that are Children friendly. Only one drawback & that is the smoking. It seems that everyone smokes & the bars & restaurants can be a bit uncomfortable.
