Clear skies for much of the day brought much more pleasant skiing on fresh snow. Some powder remains but most is now heavy and developing crust in some places. Snow pack is very unstable, with several (un-triggered) avalanches occurring this morning. Some of the lifts, in particular those serving large off-piste areas, closed today due to the avalanche risk.
Forecast is for similar weather but possible high winds tomorrow, but hopefully the snow pack will stabilise.
