Sauze is a great fun place to ski, lovely wide open and quiet slopes. The weather is always iffy there as it tends to miss out on the big storms that circle round the place, but they do a great job with artificial snow and bashing what snow they have there.
Get yourself over to Sestriere on the new link, some harder and cracking skiing over there.
The town has a good vibe to it, have a beer or 4 in Ghost and Paddy McGinty's.
Hotel Le Torre gets some reasonable reviews, but I don't know anyone who has stayed there. The general accommodation, being Italy, is not as good as say Austria, but its only a bed for the night.
You'll have a great time: I'd go back there again after 2 previous trips in recent years.

Just got back from Sauze and its great over there- snowed every day last week and the runs into the village are all open so you should be in for some good conditions.
Unfortunately the OH and I both got flu (and i mean flu- not just a nasty cold) three days in and missed 3 days on the mountain. Now that I'm over it, I'm realizing how absolutely gutted I am.
Don't know the Hotel Le Torre but I'm sure you'll have a great time in Sauze- I'm jealous!

Just come back from La Torre Hotel,my own personel view is that it is not a 4 star
Because of the shape of the hotel the noise can be loud but there were not many kids there
so couldnt complain, i was in room 207, if i could of i would ask for a higher room for the views.
The food for me wasnt very good but im fussy my stomach felt bloated for most of the time,
There is a digital safe in the room which is free and a big bonus.
The hotel does NOT change pounds to euros and the bank will charge you £6 for doing this, next time
i will take more than i need and change back to sterling at home.
Wireless- didnt work until the last day and they charge 2 euros an hour,i went over to Queens
and they let you have it for free if you buy a drink.
The room is fine and has a bath and shower no complaints
The skiing was fantastic, snowed on our first day but had none all week but thats fine there is
plenty everywhere.
The average pint costs around 4.5 euros,we went to supermarket in the square where you can buy
some cans for .68 of a euro .and was fine.
