Anyone know if it's best to stay in Quartier des Vieil Alpe or Altiport?

If you want to be out on the lash, you don't want to be in Altiport.
If you want to ski the minute you leave the door, then you do.

Depends what you want from your holiday. I stopped in Altiport, all ski in/out and we were literally 10 steps from the piste. We had plenty to do in the chalet including sauna and hot tub, and plenty of booze so no need to venture out. However, its not much fun walking down the piste or back up it into town, and the road is a lot further and a killer on the way back up.Camelthief wrote:Anyone know if it's best to stay in Quartier des Vieil Alpe or Altiport?

Thanks, probably be closer to town then, especially as have one oldish non-skier with us

There is the bus that runs down to the shops and Town from Altiport.
