Despite lots of last minute efforts the lift company can't do the work in time.

"The Board of Directors wishes to thank its loyal customers, everyone who had helped and supported in the various approaches, all those who have expressed their enthusiasm for the station by their pledge, generating a tremendous outpouring of solidarity."

Thats a real shame - such a great area! Hopefully they can raise the funds and reopen in 11/12 - would be a shame if the whole thing was left to rust...

Yes, a pal skied there last winter and was keen on the area. The lack of infrastructure investment money is likely to affect several other Valais resorts in the near future. Ovronnaz and Evolene/Nax are two I'm seen mentioned.
