'10/'11 Season

Hi,
Looking at working/playing for the '10/'11 season somewere in Austria...don't have any ideas more specific than that.
Anyone got any good ideas about resorts and/or finding seasonal work.

Hi Chumk, welcome to J2ski. Check out natives.co.uk. If you have a favourite Austrian resort, try emailing the local tourist board, OK to do this in English. Also, depending on what type of work you want to do, you can contact businesses direct. A well written CV, mailed to the manager, shows a proper level of prsentation.

There is always a turnover in jobs, so every season there are new jobs everywhere. I had 4 seasons, but I started off, just driving to a place in Austria with some mates ~ we all managed to get work.

Any good advice for someone travelling from Australia? We will need to source work before we can sort working visas and such...

It may be significantly easier for you to be taken on as a seasonnaire by a UK Tour Op, as you will then be able to get a Work Permit for the UK with their help. You will be a UK worker, paid in GBP, working in Austria. Start applying now.

It should be just as easy for you to apply for employment and a work visa elsewhere in the EU, but that does not seem to work in practice. Not sure why!
