We had some great laughs in Valmeinier especially night skiing when the lights kept going out it was complete carnage, but great fun, although Mrs W packed in early and retreated
to the nearest bar.

I went to Valmeinier in January 2001 the resorts are linked all be it the last link across the valley was a small bucket gondola the snow was better in Valmeinier but the village of Valloire was pleasant enough but low so the snow conditions were ok but not as good as Valmeinier.
All the normal bars and restaurants and all at pretty good prices, runs were all pretty much of the motorway type it also has another area called Setaz which we did not ski, but pretty much about 150k's of skiing which should be enough to keep people interested but nothing really taxing, ideal for a school trip.
