Well im home safe and well.

It was the trip of a life time, apart from the honeymoon, that was full on.
I will post more as time goes on, as It is very late and I am prone to very bad spelling mistakes.

Day one Helsinki
Very cold and not much to do there.
We went for a day trip to Tallinn the boat trip was just amazing, and Tallinn was the best pretty midlevel town I have ever been to, It was just liked I walked back in time.

Day 3. Paris
Paris was so cold we just rugged up and walked and walked.
We were shocked to find that we had booked the sleaziest suburb in Paris but after a wile got used to the red light district.

Paris was Just what I had had pictured but 10 times better the streets, the buildings, and to go to the top of the Eiffel tower and hardly wait in line. And to the the clearest view from the top was just priceless.

We had 8 days there and done it all it was just amazing.
I fell in love with the French macaroons cant get them over here so I am going to try and attempted to make some tomorrow.
the people of paris are very frendley

You have to watch your belongings as there are many people walking around eyeing off bags. And a smart d**k h**ds pretending to find a gold ring and saying keep it for good luck, bye the way could I have some money for a coffee?. What a scam the first time I gave him a few euros just to make him go and the seconded time it happened we told him to P**s O**f .

more later :D :D

Hi Littleski,
I'm really, really, really glad to hear you got back okay :D :D :D

I was horribly afraid one of those train schedules I'd planned out for you had gone wrong, and you were stuck going round in circles somewhere between Germany and Switzerland

Fancy that travel agent booking you into the red light district in Paris - what were you wearing when you went to make your reservations :?:

I'd love to hear more, when you've got the time :D

Ok so now the fun starts!!!

OFF TO THE SNOW!!! :) :(

We go to Paris Lyon to make our way to Courmayeur.
And our booking as follows:
Paris-Geneva 7.10-10.35am
Geneve-Martingy 10.56-12.37
Martingy-Chamonix 13.01-14.33

We got to the train station 1.30min early to make sure we no where we are going and check all our tickets.
So all cool and ok.
10 min before departing for the train it got delayed.
By 25 min witch made us miss all the other trains.
We managed to get the same trains there but didn't make it into Chamonix to 6.30pm.
After getting off the train at martigny. I realised that I left my bag on there so that's gone, the lost and found department wouldn't help deal with the situation. And told us to full out forms on there web site. Telling us it was easy, yea right it wasn't even in English and the lost and found form we had to full out online was in French?
The kind Italian lady at our hotel helped us. And was sent off and I have had the last email saying it's defiantly lost.

So after getting off the 3 stop before chamonix main station I was ready to crack as it has been a day gone wrong already.
Some lovely people from Ireland told us to get on the bus with them and they will show us so where to go, about 30 min later we got there.
So now we went to go on the bus to get thought the tunnel across to Courmayeur.
It was a Monday and they were all booked out till Friday we were told. ?
So our only way was to get a taxi and it cost us 100 euro.

So got to Courmayeur at 8.30 one bag down and 100 euro later.

We didn't let this get us down.
We went for takeaway pizza that night and got our ski clothing ready for the next day.

Tuesday our first day on the snow we were a bit tried but really pumped.
2 min walk from our hotel was ski hire and lift pass and the large gondola to the top, all in the same spot.
Our hotel location was just perfect.
Courmayeur town is just lovely.
The next 5 days was so much fun
A bit sad about the last day as it was raining all day on the snow and the snow turned to mush.

All the time I thought it was me. I had 144cm ski's in Italy and wasn't skiing the best but in St Mortiz I had 139cm, and had all the control I don't know what true height I am meant to have, but felt better in the smaller skies.

LittleSki,
I'm so sorry you had that trouble with the train being late and not being able to get on the bus. Maybe I should have told you to book seats on the bus  I always book seats for us, just in case the bus is full.

Please continue with the next installment when you have time :D
