As Tino is getting well into off piste sliding, I thought he might enjoy this clip from TGR. 2 guys, 2 split boards, some rope and several ice axes :D

that's the one . they're mental but I have much admiration
They do stunning stuff, then again they are the arguably the best in the world. As it's their job, I doubt they take undue risks too far above their capability IYKWIM :D
One of the all time classic ski films with some of the legends of extreme skiing. Another film to look out for featuring Chamonix is the "Edge of Never" which has some of the US extreme skiing legends and Anselme Baud who has to be one of the all time extreme skiing greats and has skied some serious lines.

If you hike up the slope, it gives much more perspective and feel for the conditions, especially the level of "fall and you die risk" )

And there was me thinking I was on the edge with a 45/50 degree slope in the states , Chamonix is one awesome place.
Cant beat climbing for your turns, brings a new element into skiing.

I was watching the rather dated, but still good, blizzard of Aahhh's the other day and the film crew came upon a lone border who had ventured out alone. Fortunately for him, they found him trapped in a Crevasse along with dead and rotting animals! Chamonix is indeed a stunning place which I would hope to visit one day.
I just love the gravitational pull
