well arrived just outside Morrillon on Saturday evening after an uneventful drive down from Le Havre and we are staying in a nice little hotel.

Skied in Massif yesterday..Rain at the bottom snow at the top but visibility was poor but we managed about 50k round les Carroz Morrillon and Samoens ..did not go to Flaine as the condition were not right ..but no photos as we couldn't see much..

This morning we awoke to brilliant sun shine and decided yo go to Les Gets and Morzine. Conditions were excellent and the views amazing and my legs ache from another 50k...got some pics which I will add when I have uploaded them...we aim to ski Avoriaz and the other side tomorrow ..if my legs will stand it

sorry about the pics Mr Admin

Yesterday hat a wonderful day in the sun in Champery using the other half of the Port Sollaile pass and looked at the Swiss Wall on the way back to Avoriaz,...Port sollaille is much better value than the G Massif as lift passes go

the sun shone this morning and we skied across to The Flaine bowl and went up and down in the sun but at about midday the weather changed as predicted so we went back over to Les Carroz and had lunch ...when we came out visibility was down and it was dumping a load of snow..so we skied back to Morrillon (where the car was ) and skied up and down a couple of times in the snow ...lovely

looks like good conditions for the rest of the week ..but not much sun...where to ski next?

Hi Daved,
How are you finding the new chair from Samoens 1600 or not tried it yet?

We were wondering if although it saves time to Tete De Saix it will be a pain, in that it increases traffic on the higher slopes as there is no longer a half way point - or is there?

Have a great rest of week.

hi...not really much different ...there seems to be the same amount of traffic as last year but getting up more comfortably

the weather was gret again today and we skied between morzine Avoriaz and Les Gets and had a wonderful relaxed days skiing in the sunshine which was a bonus as it wasn't forecast...but oh for some Austrian lifts ...you know ...the heated chairs with a plastic cover ...pure luxury compared to the French offerings

Another day of sun yesterday ...but cold! and the slopes are getting icy....skied over the Chatel end of the Portes sollaile to stay in the sun ..Chatel is a little attractive place and I would like to go back.

Of to Pras de Lys today for a change ..but the cloud has come in at the lower level so it might not be that good...our last full days skiing

Will post some pics later but we REALLY enjoyed Pra de lys...only a small place but loads of nice skiing above and below the tree-line and very sunny ...managed to ski all day without repeating and the lift pass price was very reasonable ...the scenery was awesome ..looking over lest gets and towards Mont Blanc
