Hi

Was thinking of buying my own ski's this summer when the sales start. Was thinking of the X wing Tornado's, so last week I rented them out. I loved them for the ease in which they turn, even through ice they never lost grip. But hated them in high speed as they started to what I can only describe as vibrating and give me a ill feeling that I was about to loose control, never did though!

The ski's were 162's, which is eye level to me standing them up.

Does anyone have the same problem with these?

Has anyone tried the Tornado Ti? And is there a difference?

What's the best Freeride ski?

the TI is stiffer which will mean it wont turn as easily but wont flap about as much at speed-if you suffer from this flapping a lot at speed it is probably because you dont have enough forward pressure in the boot-best thing i learnt last year in ski school!

On forward pressure, i did find it difficult to get forward pressure on extremely cold days. Skied in the coldest weather i have ever skied before -20 degrees. When it got this cold my boots froze up solid and found it very hard to get forward flex. My boots are the Salomon Impact 8. Maybe this had something to do with the ski's flapping.

Hasnt MFC got some of these Salomon skis?
I ski in Salomon Impact 8 boots and have had nothing but warmth and comfort from them. Mind you, not skied in minus 20 in them, yet.

My feet were still warm and toasty, what I mean is I could't get much flex into the boot and they went very stiff.
