Looking at the Les Gets webcam today it looks like it might be needed - enjoy it!

yeah - it looks like the snow conditions in the Alps is starting to get a bit better over the next few days. Lots of the good white stuff forecast for Chamonix as well

The grooming in the Morzine and Les Gets is probably some of the best around, they seem to be able to produce perfect pistes with nearly any amount of snow so I think you'll be fine :)

But 20cm's isn't a lot really, for all the frequent falls we've had this season the amount of snow has actually been quite disappointing, it's quite noticeable on a lot of the photo's people are posting that the base isn't very deep in places all over the alps.

Not sure which Les Gets webcam you've been looking at, Kate. The ones I can see show complete cover all over the resort and they're quoting 55cm at the bottom, 130cm at the top. The Chamois red run down to the village from Mont Chery (south facing and always the last to open and the first to close) is open, so conditions must be pretty good. This link shows the village from half way up Mt Chery. Looks pretty good to me and that's before the big dump forecast tomorrow.

Aye, a lot of it looks good, but the live cam at the top of the chavannes chair was showing grass and mud as well as snow yesterday.

Seems strange - must have been an old image, as there's been good cover up there since mid-December. Certainly looked complete cover when I checked 5 mins ago and there's been no new snow since yesterday.
