At last! Off to Tirol and the Arlberg on Saturday. St Anton, Lech, Zug, Zurs, Stuben, St Christoph, Klosterle…..Wheeeeeeeeeeeee………………..

It is one big, big area, and I have been looking forward to this for a good few years. It is a rather unfortunate about the off-piste conditions this year, but there will still be full days of skiing.

Have tried to research the mountain routes, with some success, but could have done better. Trying to get as far through the routes on skis as is possible, before having to get a bus transfer. You get the idea.

And then at the end of the week, when the group head back to Scotland, I get the train through to Niederau, for a week and a half ~ gotta be in the Bichlwirt for the night of the 18th!
Two sleeps!
Yodelayedioooo!

Enjoy that Dave. On the subject of Niederau, are there more drag lifts that chairs.
I don't fancy being on drag lifts for a week.

I expect Dave will not enjoy St Anton. Its a massive ski area with some wonderful varying terrain and excellent off piste opportunities: a far cry from little ole Niederau )

On a serious note, I hope you enjoy the trip Dave. I loved St Anton. The Rendl area is excellent, especially on a sunny morning, and with the new cable car from town too.

You should be able to get as far as Stuben on skis, and then need a bus to either Lech/Zurs or down to Sonnenkopf. We didnt get to Lech, we'd have wanted another week for that.

Not sure what you mean about the off piste....whats the weather like out there then? Theres usually plenty of itinnery or ski routes to have a go at if off piste is tracked out though.

Just a word of caution: Skidaddle was due to fly to Innsbruck today and Easyjet cancelled the flight. I am not sure if you are still using the orange ones, but it seems they are pulling the majority of their flights right now.

Best of luck, enjoy, and break a leg.

Update - Innsbruck Airport is being hit by poor weather; low cloud and heavy snow, and may be subject to closures.
Looks like there is a pattern developing here right across the Alps.
