Hi,
I just bought some Salomon Gun skis and now i need bindings. Salomon recommends the S912Ti, but do i need to use that binding? are there any advantages/disadvantages to getting the binding on a demo plate? and finally, can the binding be removed from the demo plate and then mounted? Thanks for your help.

Yup, mine did... no complaints about the rest of the binding though - release has always been quick and smooth when required, and they've never pre-released on me.
Oh, actually, the paint's crap - it was all scraped off after about two days... !ill hmmm

Never ski with demo bindings if you can help it. They are heavy, effect the skis flex more, and are much more prone to pre-releasing since they are more sloppy.
I don't care for any of Salomons Ti bindings. The base plate in the heel piece is weak and brakes a lot.
