Going skiing...tomorrow
Intending to hire skis- I am an advanced on piste skier, skiing mostly groomers, but powder whenever possible. However, intending to ski more jumps and park this year, and wondering whether I should stick to the usual skis or go for twin tips which I have never tried?
Will twin tips hold up under aggressive fast carving on piste? And are they as fast as GS skis?
Many thanks,

Toby

Go for some all mountain twins, like Head Mojo or Salomon Thruster, or K2 Silencer or Rossi Scratch Sprayers.
They'll hold up well on piste but be flexible enough to mess about elsewhere.
Cant wait to use my Scott Neo's for the first time.

If you are an 'advanced' 'aggressive' skier don't expect them to perform like a GS ski. Different design characteristics make skis better for different purposes and unfortunately for you they are not universal. I'd suggest trying out a few pairs over the week and making your own mind up.

I have twin tips...God knows why!

I did do a half pipe in Andorra last year but that's probably the only freestyle skiing I'm ever likely to do.

If you are talking about your Bandits they don't count

I have the Salomon suspects and they handle very well on the piste and good in powder as well.

I would give it a go the worst thing that could happen is you don't like them,

then you can just take them back and swap them for another pair.
