Well, I know its a long shot.....but Five of us are heading out to Les Menuires in January, each expecting to cough the 235 Euros for the 3V lift pass. Has anyone got any discount codes, or knows of any group booking discounts available?

Just had to bit the bullet and fork out for 4 myself...I spent weeks looking and hoping for some kind of discount to no avail. :cry:

You mean, you think I should pay up for the full 3 V's 7 day lift pass? OMG that is going to be expensive! At least it's only for 2 of us. Our third party member has only skied one week before, so she can have the Courchevel valley one.
The decision is complicated by the fact that I'm going to be ski-ing in lessons morning and afternoon, with only a bit of easy local ski-ing at lunchtime out of lessons. And my daughter is in lessons for the full morning, but in the afternoon she is going to be ski-ing with the one who's only done a week of ski-ing before.
And on the 7th day, the Saturday, we are all going to be ski-ing together as there aren't any lessons.
So it does depend really on what we need for the esf lessons.

I did all the equations and ended up getting three 3 valley's passes for us and a ski lesson/lift pass package for the beginner. The beginner will have a very limited area but we figured that after a few days if she is able and confident to venture further she can get half day passes for Les Men or St Martin or 3V depending on how we fell on the day.

I know its the best ski area in Europe, but by god it's a big hit on the pocket....even a 5% discount would be 60 odd quid off between the five of us....

I would like a discount as well, please :D
I am trying to decide whether it's better value to get a 7 day Courchevel valley pass for 216 euros and then top up for a day to the 3 V one (22.5 euros) or get the full 7 day 3V one at 267 Euros. It is horribly expensive :shock: :shock:
Esf says we should be okay with the cheaper one for the lessons, but it would be very embarassing if we got stuck somewhere at a lift in a lesson because we had the wrong pass :oops: And if we need the 3 V one for more than 2 days it works out cheaper to buy the full pass for the 7 days.
The pound has recovered a couple of percent against the euro recently, so it might be a good time to buy lift passes. On the other hand, it might recover a bit more ...
I have just paid the outstanding balance on our accommodation in euros. All that is left to pay are the lift passes (for 3 of us).

When I worked in Meribel (a long time ago now!!), we always suggested a 3V pass unless you were a beginner (in which case you were in the wrong resort / area!) because you only needed to leave your home valley twice to make the 3V pass cheaper.
The top of the Saulire cable car is the border between the Courchevel and Meribel areas so it's very easy to ski in both areas.
