My wife, son and I are looking at Madonna di Campiglio this season (end Feb, early March) having been to Niederau two years ago (1 week, as newbies with lessons, thoroughly enjoyed it - got the bug :D) and Maryhofen last year, (2 weeks, lessons for 1st week then I broke my arm  not good, wife enjoyed it too - not the break, the skiing
The wife is probably at a higher level than me now, but we want somewhere that we can both be ok at ( and I can get my confidence back) and Madonna seems to fit the bill.
My son is a very good intermiediate on ski's, this year he is boarding as his first with his own board, so I hope the place will be ok for him as well.
Any comments would be greatly appreciated ? (before you say it I know...don't break anything )

Hello Fisherman - good choice of resort I would say as Madonna/Folgarida/Marilleva seems to have something for everyone. Check the dates - we went there end of Feb/early March a few years ago and they have a Hapsburg festival which was good fun with skiers in old fashioned dress and a spectacular firework display. So you may either wish to avoid these dates or make sure you are there.
There is definitely a beginner area at Campo Carlo Magna - I think someone asked about this recently. Many of the reds are quite wide and I seem to remember a couple of wide blacks, one of which is called Amazon or Amazonia and is through the trees.
The scenery of the Dolomites is awesome.
