Portes Du soleil opening Dates

Hi
Is the date for the opening of Portes Du soleil the 19th of Dec.. Because, like th eEnd of a Bell that i am , i have booked a few days in Morzine starting the 18th Dec !!!!
Just wondered if ANY lift or runs will be open on the 18th ... :oops:

Would love to help you, but just about the only info I can not find on the rather slick Morzine website is the opening date!!

The Morzine/Les Gets area is set to open - as last year - for the Christmas week (ie Sat 19th). However, Avoriaz is due to open the week before (12th) - the lift up to Avoriaz from Morzine opens then too. So you'll be fine. Avoriaz is usually the best bet for early sesson snow anyway. Mind you, last season. Morzine and Les gets opened a week early (granted, limited number of lifts) because the snow arrived early Dec.

Avoriaz normally opens a week or two weeks earlier than the 19th.
Its just accomadation that starts on the 19th.

Excellent... i have booked the hotel and transfers... so let it snow .. and so on..
