Ok im heading to Val d'isere on the 29th to the 13th of November/December. I just paid off Flights and my course, the acomindation and ski hire/pass is still to be paid. The Accomindation is in Hotel Le Kern, which offers bed and breakfast. Now i was just wondering if anyone know how much it would cost to get something in the evening, like dinner or is there any fast food places there. Also how much does it cost for a few drinks in the bar at night, like the adverage price. I might be heading to Val D'isere with a limited amount of money. It would be handy if i can somehow get a discount for the lift pass

Oh dear. Val d'Isere and discounts just dont go. Expect to pay top dollar for almost everything out there. There are stories of £10 coffees, £25 burgers and £18 pints of lager, although I am sure its not all that silly.
I'd make sure you have a decent financial advisor though.

It wasn't quite that bad in April, though there certainly wasn't anything I'd call cheap. A few of the bars have happy hours or similar so it's worth searching them out. I seem to remember one bars prices went up every 30 mins - so if you got in early it was pretty cheap.... if you lingered as the night wore on...
Theres a few take-away pizza places in town which were fairly good when we tried them and not to expensive.

The prices aren't that silly.
Couple of places worth a visit are The Banana Bar for sensible priced Tex Mex.
And a really good rustic French restaurant – La Casserole – Superb!
The Sports Bar does a great pizza.

I was there last year in the first week in December. Not everything is open in the town so early in the season but you could still get street food at reasonable prices and there was free hot wine some evenings on the street as promos. Fantastic snow and very quiet. Pack plenty of chocolate... Going again mid December this year.
