We'd love to drive to Italy next February half term - there are four of us, two parents and our teenage daughters.
Any recommendations of a good resort with a range of accommodation? Ideally ski-in, ski-out.
A big consideration is for the girls to go somewhere where there'll be others of the same age - they get very bored with us oldies all the time
And we're experienced ski-iers, so tuition isn't a major factor, although we might book a few private lessons to brush up.

Ponte de legno is nice as well and is linked in with a big new gondala.

Shortest drive would be Sauze, fun kind of place with lots of cruising reds and a young crowd.
Cervinia might be a good shout.
Otherwise, your drive over will be much longer if heading to the Dolomoties, although I'd take a couple of extra days and head for somewhere like Selva.

I've love to return to the Dolomites - it was the first place I ski-ed on a school trip, aged 14 - but the drive from Cardiff is a bit daunting to be honest

Pila is close by too and the town of Aosta itself has lots of shops, restaurants, Roman ruins, etc. if you want some time away from the slopes.daved wrote:how about la Thuille... ski in good runs and a nice place and you can ski Courmayuer as well on the same pass....and 80 miles nearer than Sauze and Selva is another 100 miles on that
