......go about buying property in Switzerland?
I have decided it is my favorite country to go to for boarding. Well not just for boarding, in general I love the whole ambience in the Swiss mountains.
Was the past weekend in Saas Fee and whilst I did not get too much riding done, I obtained the elusive 30th day this season (if Oct - Aug can be classified a season)and fullfilled my goal.
But all in all I had a fantasic weekend. Really great food, a few beers, some riding, outdoor performance of a Beatle tribute band on Friday night and Cow Fighting on Sunday :)
Will definately be taking a few days down there this winter.
Post some piccies after my tea!
So back to original question, done a wee bit of research and it seems easier now than a few years ago....I just know somebody will be able to help.
How does one.....

Yes!! Where are you thinking?
I would have to do most of that here in Germany to be honest. I read that amongst the cantons that allow foreigners to buy there is a certain allocation per year but they trade these permits amongst themselves if there is demand in one area and surpluss in another. It's a very immature idea right now, but it's the reason I have held off buying in Germany....lets get on the PM.
I was thinking about Saas Fee actually, even though I aint seen it in Winter yet, but it's about the quickest to get to from here and unfortunately I need to keep the job
Great idea mate, I could write it off against tax here in Germany also (probably) )

Tino, it´s generally got harder, since we did our deal. If you want the lowdown, do as Rose says. You will also need a local agent, a Notary, and a solicitor to represent you with the Notary.

You should spend the winter visiting as many different hills as possible in order to make a decision ;)
