Morzine is a big town with lots going on. You've got two ski options - Les Gets /Morzine ski area, which is accessed from one side of town and which is lovely -great for mixed groups of skiers and families. There is a pass which just covers this area - costs about £130 for the week for adults (under £100 for under 15s). Your other option is to get a pass which allows you to also use the other side of town which goes up to Avoriaz - a purpose built high mountain resort, busier but snow sure til May. This pass also lets you use the Les Gets/Morzine area and you can ski for miles into other linked French and Swiss resorts - Portes du Soleil. Nearer £170 for the week.
Beers vary, but medium beer was around 3.50 at half term. 6 Euros for a Serieux - big beer! Much cheaper than some other French resorts.
Food is no worries - plenty of sausage and chips, steak and chips, spag bol, pizza. They are used to fussy Brits!
We prefer Les Gets when skiing this area, nicer, smaller village, easier access to skiing, shorter travel time, better snow, but Morzine is great. You'll have a great time. Cheers.

Hi have skied Avoriaz and Chatel, didn't get down to Morzine.
Avoriaz sits just above Morzine, fussy eaters not a problem, if they like just a plain burger and chips or a ham and cheese sandwich, most places will do simple food. Beer depends on were you go, your looking at Euro 2.50 to 3.00 for a small beer 25cl

Personally I would go for the port du soleil pass, from Morzine you can get up to Avoriaz and its easy to get over to Chatel or into Switzerland, however you have the choice of also getting over to Les Gets, which we didn't manage to get to.
It all depends on how much of a piste cruiser you are
On the food front, contact the hotel or the TO and ask if there is a choice
Check the Port Du Soleil website, http://www.portesdusoleil.com/main/FCK/pdf/PortesduSoleil_Hiver.pdf thisis the piste map.

We stopped in Morzine in Feb 08. The resort caters for all tastes for lunchtimes, Pizzas right through to traditional Savoyard cuisine. Stayed in Le Chaumiere hotel and the chef there was exceptional, catering for all tastes and the children of 11 and 8 had no complaints about any food. I hope your hotel is the same.
In Morzine there is a shuttle bus from the Pleney lift station to Super Morzine. From either station it is a gondolaa ride up and then skiing to your hearts content.
Just an aside, if you are looking for a good view and piste route. go up to the top of the Arbis (red run) in the Chamossiere section. the view to Mnt Blanc is stunning with the ride back down quite thrilling. :)
Have a good holiday.
