Can't help you on bars I'm afraid but Les Arcs is a fantastic ski area so you'll have a great time; they have shed loads of snow...

unfortunately I didn't get to see much of the slopes on my les arcs trip . 1800 is not the most charming of places but if you fancy lunch there one day we loved l'equipage which is down the steps at the bottom of the gondala and le triangle which is in the centre of the village - if you're looking at intersport it's to the right in an alleyway if memory serves. well worth it.
also, I often read about a place on the slopes called belliou la fumee around the 1950/2000 area.
I'm very jealous! Enjoy

Caron-a is right, the restaurant L'Equipage ("the team") is good. The Red Hot Saloon bar is also good in the same village (Villards). Try the next village along the other side of the slopes for Chez Boubou. There's quite a few bars in all and two nightclubs. To be honest you're going to too shattered for a great deal of apres if you the ski area all day.

I have just come back from Les Arc and stayed in Altitude.
Overall the chalet is quite good in my opinion and the food was decent.
However, be warned you will endure the smallest ski and boot rooms you will ever see and it is a nightmare in the mornings.
The bars and there were quite decent and the crazy fox is joined to the hotel so you dont have to go far.
Whistlers Dream is also ok and the
Arc 1950 is much better and I would strongly recommend Valentino's when your chalet person has their night off.
Top quality food!!!
Enjoy your time there and have fun, I know that I did.

I think that's where we had lunch in 1950 and can concur
