Having just returned from a week in Les Arcs we're plotting another short trip for the beginning of March. The intention is to fly to Geneva early on the Sunday, ski that afternoon, Mon, Tues and most of Wed and then fly back.

The two main choices seem to be the Grand Massif ( probably Les Carroz or Sixt Fer a Cheval) or Morzine. I've been to both, but only for quick day trips and am having issues deciding, soany advice gratefully received.

My main concern about Morzine is obviously the height and the fact that the ski area does seem quite disjointed. We don't really want to spend hours trying to get back to where we started. Is this a valid concern?

As for the Grand Massif, can anybody give me any idea of how well linked it all is and whether getting back to the smaller villages at the end of the day is a problem?

Thanks!

Why not fly to Chambery and head towards Bourg Saint Maurice, there are at least 10 resorts within a half hour of there you can choose from. Les Arc.. La Plagne.. La Ros.. Tignes/ValD.. Sainte Foy!! There are loads of options out there to complicate your choice

Because we've done Les Arcs and La Rosiere very recently. And in a fit of post holiday blues I booked two flights to Geneva...

I wouldn't stay in Sixt. The few lifts there are ancient and it's a bus ride to Samoens to link into the GM.

If the GM then Morillon or Les Carroz might be best.

You're right - have investigated further and realised that Sixt would be a pain, so Les Carroz or Morzine it would be.

Anyone else?? As it's costing very nearly as much as it would for a week I want to try and make the best choice.

Have you thought of St. Gervais? I've done the PDS & the Grand Massif - I've enjoyed them all, but if I could chose where to go back to for a short break, I think it would be St. Gervais.
The plan is.... there's no plan!

Grand Massif every time, not skied there for a few years but it was great. Les Carroz seems to be a good weekend destination.
