I took my OH for 6 hours of lessons on a dry slope yesterday in preparation for our holiday at the end of the month.
She did OK, but took quite a few spills which obviously knocked her confidence. On one occasion she took a hefty knock to the upper side of her elbow joint and bruised it, resulting in a lot of tenderness today.
In the past she has broken both her elbow and one of her knees, so I think protection may make her feel a bit more confident. She also has the boniest, pointiest elbows in the world, which tend to get hurt and be sore if she knocks them.
Is there any decent protection at reasonable prices?
My other option is to buy some kids mountain bike pads (she's only little), but I'm not sure if mobility will be compromised it she was to wear these. I think they should be OK, but would welcome any opinions.
