Been skiing for a year now and looking to get myself some boots.

As I'm only a beginner I'm not going to break the bank, so I've eyed up a couple of pairs on the old ebay.

I'm not going to spend more than £60.

So which should I get?

Salomon Evolution, used for 1 week

or

Rossignol Power 21, slightly more worn.

:?: :-)

Ebay is great if you know exactly what you want or if you are into experimenting with equipment. I've bought a lot of boots on ebay and that worked for me because I live five minutes from where I ski, always have a second pair of boots in the car and I like to experiment. When I go out west to ski and can only take one pair of boots, they will be a pair that I know fit and perform the way I like my boots to.

If you really want to buy on ebay, wait until the end of the season and buy a pair of this or last season's boots that you know will fit you. The problem is that unless you have tried on and tested different boots, you will be taking a chance. Read all the threads about boots on this forum and you will begin to get the picture.
