Deep snow in Sauze d'Oulx

Wow, I would love to see that. My 2 trips to Sauze have seen bright sunshine in the village and no snow, and only on 1 trip have I been able to ski throught the slush to the bottom of the clotes lift unfortunately.
Hope its a good season for you over there.
Oh, good luck. We were at the Hotel Sauze last year. The food was fine, but the hotel itself tends to be frequented by lots of all male parties on a regular basis, and its an old stone floored place so noise reverberates around the place at night.
The rooms also leave a lot to be desired. BUT its right at the bottom of the piste and close to the Clotes lift, and a hotel is really a bed for the night and a base....mind you, it would have been nice to have had one good nights sleep.
Sauze is a cracking place, I'd go back again to ski it, but even when there was little snow, it was still good skiing. fantastic cruising, lots of mileage, and the skiing over at Sestriere is a must too. Take a day in Montgenevre as well for a change of scene. Tour ops usually run a trip a week.
Ghost is a nice bar just off the bottom of the piste in town down the hill, and then you have got Paddy McGintys, where most of Sauze tends to end up for some apres and in the evenings.Good fun place, run by a nice English lady called H. Theres plenty of places to go for a beer to be honest. I hope you have good snow, as it must be really fantastic when its like that.
