Hi all,

I am new to the forum (hello everyone!) and have just a week or so of skiing experience (Seefeld earlier this year).

I am looking to go away for new year and am currently reviewing where best to go. Priorities are snow (of course) and some nightlife. It'll just be me and the wife going, so I'm looking for lively but not ibiza with snow!

I'm really liking the sound of Mayrhofen. Am I right in understanding that it has a glacier? Any views therefore on the potential for snow towards the end of December. Any other views, opinions or thoughts on other preferrable destinations would be much appreciated.

Hintertux Glacier is 18km up the road, busses run all day. 130cm snow already, I am booked for the week before Christmas and I am not worried.

I'm in Mayrhofen Dec 26th to 31st. There will be snow for you to ski on somewhere.
Great town, lots to do, nice bars and restaurants. You will need to book up for dinner most nights in advance though that time of year.
PM me if you want specific info on the place.
