Hey,

I'm off to do a season in La Plagne and was wandering how easy it was to get to Meribel? And how I would go about doing so??

Thanks!!!

:)

You hitch a lift on the transfer bus to Lyon - about 3 hours; then find the transfer bus to Meribel and wait around for another 3 hours until the bus fills up and 3 hours later you arrive in Meribel - simple plus it will help you empathise with the punters who pay for the privilege   .

Otherwise you could have look at www.natives.co.uk where they have all kinds of useful information for saisonnaires .

Hi,
If you'll have a car you can drive to the lower Courchevel stations in around half an hour then ski the 3 Valleys.....

If you have access to a vehicle it is easy. Down to Aime in the valley, along to Moutiers, and up the hill to Meribel from there. It would take 60-75 minutes depending on conditions. A good idea might be to befriend other seasoners working for a company with properties in both resorts (Silver Ski for example).

The other option is to ski to Champagny and see if you can get a lift from there to Courchevel 1300 and ski over from there.

No point in driving around to Courcehevel as La Plagne to C'vel would be as long as La Plagne to Meribel.

All the Tarantaise resorts are easily accessible by road from each other - it used to take a little of an hour from Meribel to Val d'Isere for example.
