Dave, on the lower right of the photobucket page with your image. You will see four options for image link codes. Just left click on the forum option and it will be copied automatically. Then to put the image in a post, just right click and paste.

On a cautionary note, don't link to an image from an album that you would like to keep private, as it is easy for anyone to follow the link and see your whole album. For instance I was able to see the second picture Dave has on photobucket [Dave, you should be ashamed of your self  ]

So who is the artist ?

Trencher, thanks for your tech-help....at least until I try.

It was tricky enough for me to get a couple of pictures onto photob. So, when you said "don't link to an image from an album", what should I be doing?

The second picture, which I intend to be the first of a two part sequence, is of a guy that worked in Niederau, in the same seasons as me. The second picture is a corker, wedged in snow to the armpits. Watch this space, although it may be some time!

I have an even better one to post, it's a fall, (a ski buddy), it may be the best photo I ever took

As for "who is the artist", I'm afraid twas me,

This is the Bichlwirt, a 500+ year old pub at the top end of Niederau. It has an interesting history. My friend Herbert still plays the Harp there on most nights. Sad to say, when in Niederau, I am to be found there just about every night.

There's worse to come. When I really get to grips with this new-fangled photobucket, there are more paintings of Niederau. Help me at your peril!

Sorry, I should have been more clear. What I meant was that if you have uploaed an album of personel photos that you do not want to share with just anyone, be aware that if you put a link to just one photo on a forum, it is possible for people to see the whole album. I would in that case keep my forum sharing photos seperate from my personel photos by having a seperate photobucket page for that purpose. Hope that makes sense.

Is that painting actually in Niederau?

I have a strange feeling I've seen it before.
It's only a slope.

No Hamish, the original painting is hanging in Edinburgh.

There is a similar one hanging in the Bichlwirt, painted by a friend of mine. We do have quite similar styles, when it comes to Alpine views. She actually has two of her pictures hanging in the Bichlwirt.

I still do not have a picture of my own that depicts the Bichlwirt. I have a wall full of Niederau views, but no Bichlwirt.
