hey guys, finally saved up enough to get my self my own gear!!
very excited too say the least! im looking mainly to stick to groomed runs but with the odd bit of powder/ park action.
can any body recomend a good setup? im fairly good but only used to riding a burton custom.

The Burton Custom looks a good compromise for what you want to do. It sounds a little soft for the best performance on groomed runs, but you need that in the park. If groomers are your main terrain, you may want a board to be a little stiffer and more directional. Main features to look for are wood core and side wall construction (though cap side walls can be ok too)
Same thing for boots, softer for the park and stiffer for free riding.

I don't do park, mainly all terrain mountain including powder.
I have last years Burton Supermodel 168cm, and it is fantastic for these conditions. Floats on powder, and has some really agressive edges on it, excellent range of binding positioning and fairly stiff.
