For my partner, she is a beginner and wants a lightweight forgiving ski to build her confidence.
Anything up for sale?

Perhaps she should be choosing a ski for an Intermediate? A beginner's ski will be too soft. Is she really short as well as light?

For a beginner its definately best to hire - they will give you all the advice you need, and when she's a bit better you can buy something she'll keep using for a few years. Hope she loves skiing!

Thanks for your response, maybe I should have been a bit clearer about her experience she is not a complete beginner she has got a few week of skiing experience under her belt plus various trips to the domes/dryslope.
Now she wants some ski's of her own to help her progress rather than using different skis each time we go.

You should take a look at swisstimsskis website http://www.swisstimsskis.com/component/option,com_virtuemart/page,shop.browse/category_id,2/Itemid,29/
- he has some great bargains and a particularly good range of intermediate Blizzard skis.
Alternatively, try the Ski Warehouse http://www.skiwear4less.com/acatalog/Skis.html
