Where can I go in March

For the past few years I've been skiing in Bulgaria around end Jan/beginning Feb time. After last year we've decided its not as economic as it used to be and we'd rather guarantee (if that's possible!) snow.
Due to other commitments the holiday will need to be postponed until March. Where can we be confident there is snow in France?

I've looked at so much info on the website, seeing so many different resorts in France, I'm now confused. Our party of four is mixed between intermediate & advanced.

I think Tignes and Val Thorens are two of the highest, if not highest, resorts in France.

It largely depends on how many there are of you. For instance, if there are just two of you, it is surely worth leaving until a few weeks before you want to go, then look at where the good snow is. Choose an area that has a good base and a good late season record, like the Arlberg, or the Tignes/Val d'Isere area.

I agree the arlberg region of Austria has an excellent record for the white stuff ,also Val & Tignes because of their altitude and location have excellent snow cover in March ,also on my list (although i am a little biased) the Les arcs ski area (Paradiski) is a good bet aswell.

Keep an eye on the snow reports and see which ones have the best early snow and lowest average temperatures across the season ,and go from there.

Choose your resort

A mixed abilty group of 4 of us enjoyed a great week in Les Arc in March 2008. Lots of options depending on your budget.
