Quizz for Women Skiers

Well I have done it. I have cleaned and "aired" all my ski material and I have found a Helly Hanson red shell jacket which no one in family wants!

It is a medium sized shell, thus might fit some women or it can be a great gift for a man! (assuming it is a women who wins)

In two weeks Dave will post picture of this jacket with the rules.

I know men will all try to get this jacket,,but I have noticed that all quizzes so far have been "male-oriented", so this quizz is geared for the women! You all can try to win jacket,,but I must warn you women will have a "inside lane" on this one!

As always there will be 10 questions that require : some research, some thinking "outside the box", some deductive reasoning, and of course some of "women's intuition"! Perhaps some knowledge on what makes women skiers "unique" may help all participants.

The pass level will be set at 9/10 correct answers!

In conclusion, finish off your projects, plan some sleepless nights and start asking yourself what makes a women skier "unique"!

Just finished all the questions.

Asked 10 women skiers to "validate" questions. All said that the women or man who gets all 10 will be an "exceptional" person and skier!
According to them ,,the winner will have to;
-know a little skiing history
-know women's concerns a great deal
-have a "hands on approach to skiing"
-be intelligent
-be an "independant" thinker

Really, really want this jacket since all participants will have to search for answers!

Next Monday the questions will be posted and yes their are some pictures of ski related articles that will challenge you Goggle experts!

ooh I cant wait!! Only 5 more stone to lose before I have a chance of actually fitting into it before feb so I can wear it when we go to Niederau. Better source out the cabbage soup diet. :wink:

Here is the ski jacket that will be given to lucky (and smart) skier!



It is a medium sized jacket! Severla ski stickers will also be "hidden" in the pockets and yes also a surprise other gift!

If you are referring to Jacket, it is in my home!

As to your other questions , I see you are not aware of the Pavel quizz rules and conditions.

Yes, you will PM me your answers and I will keep them "confidential", however I will post your score on general posting!

First person who gets pass score will be winner.

If more than one person gets passing score the one who has sent first (earliest) PM will get jacket.

Karen you can see the "pressure" on all participants. If you wait too long to answer, you may get all answers but if are too late others may get them also! If you rush and get a few answers,,,,,,

Please everyone this is first and above all a "fun" activity and also an educational one! I hope that at end of this "event" women skiers will understand some aspects important to their skiing. I hope also that you all learn about this sport and some of the "important people and practises" which made this sport what it is!

As far as the "hidden" gifts, these are just objects I get from ski companies who wish to "bias" me in my evaluation process. I just pass them along to others! I know for sure at least one of the "gifts" will provide many happy memories to the winner since it will be used every day! ( not just on ski days)

Quizz will begin on Monday September 15th 2008 and end on Friday 19th. 12 PM ( London time)!


I will try not to give "hints" as the week goes on,,but your imaginations and "creative" thinking will I am sure motivate me to do so! I have tried to be fair and used questions that will sample all your "mental" abilities!

I was looking at the forum at work and there was definitly no jacket in the post, (thats why I was wondering where it was) but also there were no emoticons, they were all crossed out. I know from other posts that others have been having difficulties with the emoticons so maybe they too might not see the jacket.

I am at home now and I can see the jacket in the post(very nice!)
