Just checking on some last minute details and now see that Thomson isn't offering the hotel Vicky for January 2009.
I know they are not open for business at present but I thought they were still OK for winter.
Anyone heard anything?

I'm trying to get the lowdown on exactly what's happening and should be able to report later this week.
Naturally, any guests that would like to visit Niederau but can't get into the V. know will know where to go ;)

My hubby phoned Thomsons today and was told that the holidays are suspended for the time being :shock: No explanations as to why.

Main prob with the Vicki is the lack of investment. The rooms are still the same as when I use to occasionally visit, many years ago. I tried to check it out last week, but answers there came none.
Hamish, if you want a possible alternative, close to the Harvenwirt, lots of room, but restricted bathroom facilities, pp me.

@AJ : I'm way ahead of you - I have an alternate lined up. )
@Dave Mac: I'll be at the Harfenwirt in a couple of weeks - we've been moved from the Vicky up there this summer. Looks nice but only spent the odd evening there for the Schuplattler stuff.

I must admit boy`s that the only reason we go there is the price and location for the kid`s, Plus the free ski and boot hire. It could be a fantastic hotel with the right people willing to invest in it.
