Having been a member of the j2ski massive a few months now, i'd like to dedicate my 50th message to all ye folk that have proven to give sound advice so consistantly in so many situations.
Be it acoustic taunts in andorra, technical ski advice, 360 spinning on skis, accomodation in les carroz, weather forecasts for any resort and a general bit of banter, j2ski really does have it all.
So to all of you lovely people that help make this site what it is, my 50th message and my life are eternally yours!
Maybe one day i'll have posted as many messages as pavelski? Which has just led me to inquire, Admin, who has made the most posts?
Happy Skiing
my 50th - the first milestone!

Just answered my own question,
In the first 50 pages of users Pavelski is storming the race(is this also indicitave of his skiing?) with over 700 followed by admin with over 400 trencher is chasing the pack with 300 with brave efforts from bandit, graviteski and someone else with 112 but i can't remember their name?
If anybody out there is willing to brave the next 750+ pages to confirm the ultimate J2ski addict, i have to advise you to think of what else you could be doing!?

Hey hey, thanks for the comments Mr. Souldrive but lifetime commitment's not required... enjoy the moment while it lasts (which could be forever, of course)
Must admit I hadn't realised Pav was quite so far ahead! Kinda embarassing to be out-posted on my own forum...
I'll have a look at knocking up a stats page for the "j2ski massive"... we're a little busy behind the scenes at the moment but will try to get that done soon.
BTW, what kinds of music do you bring to the mountains? Any regular venues?

no it's my mates bass think it's an esp? If you check out the myspace track "harder to breathe" the image in the music box sees me acting in a "suggestive" manner towards my schecter omen 6.
Admin, the music the band plays is mainly rock/grunge but i like to play some acoustic stuff on my travels. Know of anywhere in les carroz? As i only usually get to ski once a year (not this year :D) none of our music falls on the ears of the mountains. The closest we've been to that is playing on snig hill in sheffield.

Souldrive,
First congratulations to have survived your first 50 years! Now the fun really begins and you will discover as the years go by the great new "pleasures". Hope to see that same message on this site in 50 years. I will be looking out for it!
Now my confessions about those "many" messages. Please do not be impressed with the number! You see I usually am a "reserve" skier who rarely "offers" free advice to others on the hill! My attitude is, "if one does not ask for advice,,,do not offer some"! There are too many ski "experts" on the ski runs and on ski sites.
You see Souldrive, I was "not mobile" for some time and so my only source of reality, of skiing was my computer beside my bed! This site saved me in many ways!
I really want to thank Dave,,that site administrator who is behind the "scenes" lurking about sniffing out the spams, hidden and not so hidden commercial messages. Few appreciate what a great job he does. This site is respectful of others, is free of all the vulgarity, etc....due to Dave. We should all thank him by having a ski Dave day in which we pay all his expense! That Bombardier executive plane Dave is not joke! Bombardier does own a private airport in England and my son does work for them! So please have skis ready!
Thank you Dave for all the picture problems for my tuning course! You know where I live any time you want to try some 2009, 2010 skis, you are welcome!
I must also thank Bandit, who taught me to have an open mind! In this medium we often fall into "perceptual/emotive" traps. She taught me to open my mind and was gracious to accept all the "faux pas" I did!
Ise is another person in this site who has great ideas and makes excellent contributions. He taught me to re-read my class notes, my messages that seem clear to me,,but have technical flaws! Thank you Ise for making think of that person; who will burn himself, who will set DIN too high, who will screw in bindings too much! You often are right, some people should never touch a tool since they will do harm to themselves! UTUBE has hundreds of videos of such persons!
Ellistine made me wake up every morning searching for his skiing progress messages on "dry slope" I lived his ups and downs even if I was miles away! Between my drug induced phases I made my mind think of ways to help him ski better! He did not know it ,,but he motivated me to get better so that one day I could ski with him and show him what ski feel was! A friend far away yet so close!
Now for "spicy humor" the master is Jan. Never know where he is going! I would take my morphine only after I read his messages since I wanted "full mental powers" to understand his messages and reply!
Loved our "fireside chats" and miss them! You know Jan, there are many compasses in life! I recommend all skiers on J2ski to at least once in a skiers life time to visit and stay with Jan. Yes for the skiing, but also to met this man and see how he can teach you how to hang upside down on ski poles! Thank you Jan for being the "intellectual sparing partner" and some day perhaps you will hear the helicopter blades and feel those soft "feather-like" snowflakes around your nose! Time to realize your dreams!
There are so many of you that "helped" return to skiing that I can not in this short message do you justice. One comment, if you do not mind. It is, when you are told that you can not ski ever, that you will never soar like Icarus, that you appreciate messages, your comments! You all made me refuse what I was told.
Souldrive,,now your true appreciation of skiing begins. Before you skied for others! To be the fastest down the run. To be to "coolest" or the best technique. Now you will ski for you!
It is when you lose a person or ability that you truly appreciate it!
You all helped me re-discover skiing! Thank you!

Hey Pav, great post - thank you for the kind words in there, but just one thing...
I don't think souldrive has quite hit 50 years yet... well he doesn't look it from the picture anyway...
Hey, I just realised the absolute best reason for wearing a helmet when skiing - no-one will have a clue how old you are!

Dave,
Why do you think Mike NS wears disguise? He is only 13 years old and pretends to be engineer!
Why do you think Jan is upside down? So you can see his best side!
This is true story ! I have a graduate student who is studying the pictures people place on net ! His theory is that we all have "alter" egos and this medium allows us to project who we really think we are!
His thesis subject was accepted and all are following his progress!
I am beginning to know some "people" on this site and perhaps I will do a "freudian psycho-analysis" based on their posted pictures!
First I will need permission from Dave since it might increase too much the "flow" of messages on this site!
