I get free travel insurance through my bank account, NatWest Advantage Gold. I understand other banks offer similar accounts. It saves one hell of a lot of money every year, and for summer holidays too. They upgrade to ski insurance free of charge too, so there is literally no cost, and the cover is as good as if not better than most of those on the market or available through tour operators.
Worth looking into, especially if you are not entirely happy with your current account/bank.
