I'm going to be in Austria and Italy (Alto Adige) and was wondering if it is critical to have hotel reservations in February. I'd like to try several different areas and don't want to be committed to a specific schedule. Feb 5 - 20.
Favorite areas for an expert skier within a couple hours of Bolzano??

Less choice of resorts than Innsbruck, for sure, but perhaps some lesser-known ones which may well be less crowded for half-term.
Probably worth booking if you can though.
BTW, here's a Map of Ski Resorts near Bolzano for ya.
