Hi
A group of us need to get from Lyon Saint Exupéry to Peisey-Vallandry. Apart from the obvious car hire and bus options does anyone know of any good taxi companies? I have e-mailed a few already i just wondered if there were any more out there.
Also has anyone been to Peisey-Vallandry before - what's it like?
Thanks
Iestyn

Thnaks for that snowgirl!
I read that the lift was closed for the season - no worries there as we'll still have a great time!
We're staying in the Résidence L'Arollaie. Do you know it? My understanding is that it's nothing flash! We'll probably hire cars if a taxi doesn't come off just to keep it easy. I will look at the train though.
It must be lovely living there all year. I loved living in the mountains when doing a season. If you don't mind me asking how to you manage to stay out there all year round?

I think a taxi will be quite expensive, but you can take the train to bourg st maurice or even stop in Landry (1 stop before and closer to Peisey-vallandry) then take a cab from here.
The resort is lovely. Where are you staying ?
I live here all year and I love it. The resort is linked to les Arcs in couple of lift and the skiing is great and for any skills.
Unfortunately this year you won't be able to take the Vanoise express to la Plagne if not it's the best resort to access it.
You'll have an amazing view as you can see the all valey and the Mont Blanc too if the weather is clear.
Lovely bars and restaurant, french and english and prices are not too crazy.
We have very good snow conditions (well like everywhere ) and the ski in the forest is ideal for white days.
Enjoy and let us know what you thought of it !
Cheers
