Hello Everyone

Have been calling in now and again so thought it was time to register. Have to say at the outset this seems to be a very friendly forum :lol:

I have never skied or boarded before but my wife and I have been persuaded to join some dear friends for a week in Portes Du Soleil for a week this year.

The Mrs has skied before and was quite competent as a child but hasn't been for a number of years now. I was an avid surfer in my younger days so I figured boarding may be the way for me to go for this trip, thought it might be easier/quicker for me to get some enjoyment out of the week away.

Looking forward to learning things from you guys and gals.

welcome to the forum,i think whether you ski or board you will have a great time either way,also don't forget to savour the mountain atmospere and local cuisine.

Where in Portes Du Soleil are you going?
We have been to Avoriaz twice and Morzine. Its a great area.
I'm sure you'll love it.

I (and others in our party) can highly recommend dropping in to the legend that is Bar Robinson in Morzine after a hard days ski, and settling down to a well earned pint of Mutzig Old Lager.
But don't tell anyone else !
