I have skiied extensively on the Head monster's (I own IM 82's.
They are excellent, everyone else I've spoken too has also found them really good as well. Very good at high speed, hold an edge well, maintain 'spring' even after numerous ski days, nice balance.
Needless to say, I would recommend them. However I haven't tried the others mentioned so I can't offer a comparison.
Good luck.

I have the Volkl S4. I suspect that the S2 is just a more flexible ski. The S4 rocks! If you can handle blues effectively, I think you would find that it is easily within your reach. It may push you a little the first couple of times, but I think you would be happier overall. The S2 might not let you go where you want to. :)

blue your referring to the runs right?
I have decided against the Blizzards having read the reviews now I have to decide between a 3 year old Head and a new Volkl
Just wondered what difference does a carver on a ski make?

Yes, I was referring to the runs.
If you are buying used skis - just make sure they aren't abused. Topsheet scratches don't matter, but you don't want beat up edges, and gouged bases.
Not sure what you mean by the "carver" question. Are you asking what the difference between a carving ski, and an old style straight ski is?
