Les Menuires

Hi...I am off to Les Menuires on the 12 Jan, staying at the Residence Necou. Has anyone got any comments on the area, especially nightlife, eating out etc? Also best runs/routes for intermediate skier. Also if anyone has stayed at the Necou; whats the accom like?

Its been a few years since we went to Les Menuires. Its obviously linked to loads of other resorts.Depending on your speed of skiing and what lift pass you intend to buy, it is possible to get around all villages. I remember we got between Meribel and Couchevel, thought we had best get back as a taxi ride would be really expensive if the lifts closed ) , however it was only about 3.30 when we were back in Les Menuires. I can not remember much of the area, but I do remember the opposite side of the valley was good open quiet blue runs. Also try to avoid the run along the valley from Val Thorens as lots of poleing.
As for night life, the resort is fairly small, but there was an under ground night club which I recall being ok. Sorry can not remember much more.
