Is it cheaper to arrange ski school (board) in the UK or directly with the school when you get to resort?

I am looking to arrange my trip and wondering if it is cheaper to buy all elements by myself instead of the package tour :?:

Am looking to poss go to France/Italy/Austria

I'd say it is definately cheaper to organise all the elements yourself and to book online before you leave! If you shop around on the internet you can get some good deals on all the extras surrounding your ski holiday...

My trip to Austria in Jan is costing £900 less by booking everything seperate rather than booking through an agent

Think about it how can an agent charge less than the supplier themselves, I know that does'nt work in all aspects of life but as regards to holidays i've never found an agent who can beat the prices i get by booking direct

Book ski school when you arrive, again the cheapest option but check the instructors speak decent English especially (if you have any) kids classes.

Enjoy :D

Its true that the suppliers in resort are obviously selling at their own prices - however once you get to resort they can charge what they like as you are there and have to buy the product!

Often if you look around online before you go the prices are cheaper than in resort - especially for ski hire as there is so much more competition on the web than in resort.. plus if you book in advance you know its all sorted before you leave! With ski school if you are going on holiday in the peak season classes can fill up so its worth reserving your place!
