Hi
we have a flight to Geneva organised in January & would welcome suggestions for nearby snowsure resorts with decent nightlife. Only there for 3 nights though, so maximum 2 hours drive away. Thanks

Hi pipp,
Ski Resorts near Geneva should give you a good start.
As you're going in January, you can afford to wait until nearer the time and check the snows as they arrive - should be plenty of accommodation choices as it's not peak season.
Inside two hours you've got plenty of options with nightlife - Chamonix and Verbier are among the best (for skiing and partying), though not cheap and Morzine will be fun too - though is at lower altitude.

Have you though about La Clusaz, France.
It is part of the Aravis ski area which offers up to 22okm of pistes and is only an hour from Geneva - fab for short breaks with nice quiet pistes midweek!
Take a look at www.gravite.co.uk for more info on the resort plus good short break and weekend catered or self catered accomodation.

Hi
I would definitely back up Chamonix for this one if you are all competent skiiers/boarders.....but I would also wait till later to book accommodation so you can snow chase...! We loved La Clusaz, but snow let it down last year in Jan and may be quiet mid week in Jan in the evenings, suited us girls but prob won`t suit a group of lads!!

A bad day on the slopes is better than a good day in the office !

Hi,
I have accommodation in Morzine available for this coming winter.
Have a look at La petit Maison at www.powderdays.co.uk to have a look at accommodation and prices etc.
Morzine is only 1hr 20 mins from geneva airport and has great night life...its been snowing all day today so hoping for a great winter.
If youre interested get in touch and can quote a short stay price for you and your friends!
Good luck
