After erratic weather, a series of thefts, vandalism and a near riot some people, included exhibitors, are questionning the future of the Mondial du Ski and Snowboard held over half term at les Deux Alpes. The event should have been an astounding success with tens of thousands of visitors. Maybe these problems are part and parcel of such a large number of young visitors?

How sad, whatever happened to heading for the mountains for some peace and tranquility? The picture of the lift queue does imply that maybe the resort could have handled the event better but even so...

Last year we went over and the entrance of the resort was manned by armed police carrying machine guns. I'm afraid that 2Alps whilst it is a pioneering resort - looking for new inovations, it does seem to get more than it's fair share of trouble.
