hey

last year was pretty tragic on the lower slopes of europe as im sure you know, but i was in Zell for xmas 2005 (the previous year) and they had record snow for that sime of the year and it was pretty wicked. (so rest assured it can be dumping) best you just check the reports!!

the small trip to glacier from kaprun is an option if the snow is lacking on the lower slopes.

This year is looking like it has got off to a good start in Zell, with some lifts opening next weekend and the rest at the beginning of December. There is snow lying in the valley at the moment with another few days to come.

Suffice to say, Christmas will not be like last year! Obviously it's impossible to say what exactly it will be like, but the good start coupled with cold ground from a 'bad' summer suggest that what is there should hang around and make a good base :D.
