Depending on where you are going, you will be fine in March, its Feb thats very busy. :)

Went to Mayrhofen last March, around the same time as you mentioned and it wasn't extremely busy. First day piste was a bit patchy but second day (and thereafter) was apparently some of the best snow of the season. I'm hoping for a repeat performance this season...

i heard its' peak season unfortunately......i hope my wallet can carry me far enough for an 8 day trip?
