Hi Guys

Having visited many resorts now, and always come up trumps with accommodation /price/location I have hit a brick wall on 1 of our trips for this season...

We are looking at going away for New Year with 2 friends ...1 male, 1 female...who aren`t together and can`t share a room! We are after either a 3 bedroom apartment or 3 rooms somewhere that take into account 2 single travellers..Or even 2 bedrooms and a sofa bed....We want snow sure, and I prefer France as I speak the lingo! We prefer self catering and a maximum of 10 minute walk to bars etc........Not much to ask for, but any help apreciated as I am slowly going nuts!! Just so you know, we are already going to Courchevel and Zermatt later on so would prefer to avoid these! Oh and 1 of our party has only just started skiing so needs to be gentle for him, while the rest of us are aggressive intermediates! Thx in advance if you can help, if not...anyone got any suggestions for a decent night out in Manchester for New Year!!!!?? Ha Ha.

Banff, i will rave about it till the sun goes down!! I would give it a go, it will be cheaper than you think! get 2 rooms, one for yourself and your partner and one for the other 2, 2 double beds in each room. I went away with my dad for new year last year to banff and we were £700 each, 10 minutes walk to centre of town, and some of the best skiing in the world!!!

Looked at this, but they have to have separate rooms sadly, as he snores like nothing I have heard before!! Gets too costly when you need 3 rooms, otherwise, would have bitten your arm off!!

HI Jobster

We have some new self catered apartments in St Jean de Sixt, La Clusaz this year. Each apartment sleeps 6-8 and have a good ratio of ensuite bathrooms. I haven't started marketing them yet so they are still available for New Year.

The 2 bedroomed apartment (with a pull down bed in the lounge) is priced at £230pp and the 3 bedroomed Penthouse (with open fire) at £315pp for 7 nights at New Year. They are fab apartments with mountain views and south facing balconies. They are within a couple of minutes walk of the bars and restuarants, supermarket, ski hire shops etc. And as you know La Clusaz or le Grand Bornand are both good for skiers/boarders of all levels.

Take a look at http://www.gravite.co.uk/stjeanchalet.php and email me if you're interested.

Cheers - dave

Hi Dave

Thanks for that, but think we may have to go higher for the first of the season, however, will have a look for Jan or Feb.
