Thredbo Resort in Australia has announced that their 'Friday Flat' run will officially open for skiing and snowboarding on Saturday 07 June, marking the start of their 2025 winter season.
Thanks to over 50cm of fresh snowfall and optimal snowmaking conditions, guests will be able to enjoy their first laps of the season on Friday Flat, serviced by the Easy Does It Chairlift, Magic Carpets, and their dedicated hike park.
The resort's snowmaking team has been working around the clock to prepare the slopes, with more terrain expected to open as conditions allow.

Thredbo is pulling out all the stops for its Opening Weekend Celebrations, with a huge lineup of free entertainment for all ages, including:
• Hot Dub Time Machine Live: Australia's iconic time-travelling DJ returns for a high-energy après party on Saturday 7 June
• Free Family Fun: Enjoy face painting, arts and crafts, roving performers, and more
• Fireworks Display: Skiers and snowboarders can watch the sky light up over Thredbo Village with a spectacular fireworks show at 6pm, Saturday 7 June
